Mason Warren is the founder of The Long Weekend Journal. During the day, he is the Vice President of ShelbyKY Tourism, where he oversees the marketing and advertising efforts on behalf of his hometown. In the course of his work, he has seen how many places get overlooked, something he hopes to change with The Long Weekend Journal.

To Mason, the best trips happen quickly — there’s time to savor the moment, and before the experience gets dull, you’ve moved on to another location. In other words, a long weekend.

Though the majority of Mason’s travels are within the state of Kentucky, this blog will recap solo and family trips he’s taken over the years and highlight all future travels.
